Does this upload my video or stream anywhere?

Accepted Answer

No. The player runs entirely in your browser and connects directly to the URL you paste. Nothing is uploaded to or proxied through our servers.

Why does my stream fail to load here but work elsewhere?

Almost always CORS. A browser player needs the origin/CDN to send Access-Control-Allow-Origin headers. If those are missing, the fetch is blocked — the same restriction your production web clients face.

Question 3

Can it play DRM-protected content?

Accepted Answer

Clear streams play fine. DRM-protected playback requires a license server and EME, which a generic web player can't satisfy. Use the DRM Inspector to read the encryption signaling instead.

Question 4

Does it support both HLS and MPEG-DASH?

Accepted Answer

Yes. It auto-detects .m3u8 (HLS via hls.js or native Safari) and .mpd (MPEG-DASH via dash.js), including live and on-demand presentations.
